With a passion towards humanity and an innate need to help people, Dr. Ambalavanar decided to pursue the field of medicine back home in Sri Lanka. After completing his residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Family Medicine, he felt an urge to use medicine to save lives, and thus pursued further training in Emergency Medicine.

It is with great privilege that Dr. Ambalavanar offers his knowledge and training to provided cutting edge urgent care services in our walk-in clinic. Dr. Ambalavanar also currently practices Emergency Medicine at the Department of Emergency Medicine in Rouge Valley Hospitals in Toronto and Ajax.

Dr. Ambalavanar has a vision to combine healthcare and technology so it becomes equally convenient to all age groups. Dr. Ambalavanar is a proud memeber of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and Canadian Medical Association, and Certified in Travel Health with the International Society of Travel Medicine.
