Without getting into too much science, an antioxidant basically prevents damage to the cells of your body. In essence it prevents oxidation which is destructive to your cells’ DNA. Supplementing with antioxidants can greatly improve the outcome of chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, nerve damage, liver disease and dementia to name a few.
